Ted Cruz, R-Texas, plugged his book “Unwoke: how to defeat cultural Marxism in America” during a segment on “Real Time With Bill Maher” Friday night. This was the perfect time to blame the left, primarily for what he sees as an increase in antisemitism that he attributes to the rise of “woke” cultures.
Cruz says that “what I talk about in the book has a very close relationship with what I refer to as cultural Marxism.” It discusses major institutions which have been taken over by the extremist left.
Cruz goes on to say that the antisemitism he sees at universities is a manifestation of cultural Marxism.
Cruz begins by giving a short history of Karl Marx, dating back to the 1960s and 1970s. He then explains how his ideas influenced professors at universities in America. “Fast forward to today,” he says. . . For the extreme left they’ve coded Jews to be oppressors. They’ve also coded Palestinians as the victims. “They cheer for the violent overthrow by the victims of oppressors.”
