InfoWars host Owen Shroyer sentenced to 60 days in Capitol riot case

Sept. 12 (UPI)– Owen Shroyer, a host of the conservative conspiracy theory platform InfoWars, was sentenced Tuesday to 60 days in jail after pleading guilty for his participation in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly sentenced Shroyer on one misdemeanor count of getting in and staying on limited premises, regardless of Shroyer never ever going into the Capitol structure throughout the riot.

Shroyer informed the court Tuesday, “I was not a part of any bigger prepare for prohibited activity or violence that day.”
