3 U.S. Marines eliminated in Osprey crash in Australia

A minimum of 3 U.S. Marines were eliminated Sunday when an Osprey airplane bring 23 workers crashed on a north Australian island throughout a training workout, U.S. military authorities stated.
5 others were transferred to a regional healthcare facility in major condition. Northern Territory Chief Minister Natasha Fyles stated Sunday early morning that an emergency situation reaction was underway to triage the victims and take them to regional health centers.
“Recovery efforts are continuous,” the Marines stated in a declaration.
Northern Territory Police stated they are dealing with the U.S. Marines, and their Department of Defense and members from the Department of Health and Careflight.
The reason for the crash is still under examination.

The U.S. Marines stated in a declaration that the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey tiltrotor airplane crashed around 9:30 a.m. regional time on Melville Island throughout Exercise Predators Run, which includes the armed forces of the United States, Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines and East Timor.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese stated just Americans seemed on board, according the Associated Press.
“The preliminary reports recommend that the occurrence includes simply U.S. defense force workers,” Albanese stated. “Our focus as a federal government and as the department of defense is quite on occurrence action and on making certain that every assistance and help is offered at this challenging time.”
