A Denver policeman was struck by a fire engine along the Nuggets’ NBA champion parade path on Thursday. Sgt. Justin Dodge was struck at 13th and Cherokee Street and hurried to the health center with injuries to his lower left leg.

Dodge’s injuries are severe. On Thursday afternoon, the Denver Police Department tweeted that he remained in major condition and steady with injuries to the lower leg.
