A 16-count indictment was unsealed Monday, May 15, charging a couple– both of Peachtree City– with conspiring to devote labor trafficking, in addition to required labor and alien smuggling, in connection with their operation of 2 Mexican dining establishments, Sabor A Mexico at 805 Floy Farr Parkway, Fayetteville, Georgia, and Sabor A Mexico at 7860B Ella Lane, Fairburn, Georgia.
According to the indictment, in between March 2021 and October 2022, Efrain Gonzalez, 40, and Estella Gonzalez, 34, both of Peachtree City, conspired to dedicate labor trafficking.
The indictment declares that the couple utilized force, hazards of force, browbeating and abuse of law and legal procedure to oblige victims to participate in required labor. The indictment even more declares that the couple took part in alien smuggling for industrial gain, declaring 5 counts of alien smuggling versus Efrain Gonzalez and one count versus Estella Gonzalez.
